Genesis 1b – If evolution were true...

According to popular science, the creation account in Genesis is completely wrong.  Both the order events occur and most of the events themselves are as far from what secular science claims happened.  Many Christians are thrown by this and believe the science books over God.
One of the common arguments I am given is that Genesis does not describe the ‘big bang’, the events that happened to change rock into soup then to life and for that life to evolve into complex life and finally to man because it was written for a simple people that could not understand all the complexities involved in such a process.  In short, they say God said it wrong because there was no way to tell the “true” process He followed in a simple enough way that the simplest mind could understand.
PLEASE understand the following is NOT TRUE.  It is 100% made up by myself.  I am NOT claiming the slightest truth to it but am only writing it to show that HAD God used the billions-of-years method, it would be very easy to write it in a very simple way that would have given God great glory.  If I can write this in a few minutes so that my child can understand, surely in the billions of years God had between doing it and writing it, He could have come up with a similar, simple explanation.  One that would have both been easy to follow AND not mislead anyone because it would have accurately described what He had done.
Why did God write Genesis as He did and not as follows?  Not because what follows is too hard to understand but because God is incapable of misleading us and gave us the truth as we have it in Genesis. However, to show that the secular view isn't too complicated to have been written.........  So…

Genesis 1b – If evolution were true
In the beginning was god.  He looked over the expanse and the expanse was formless and void.  And god said 'Let all things begin."   In a flash and loud noise all came to be from nothingness.  Then god said "Let the dusts settle and from them produce lights in the sky" and the dusts settled and from them god brought forth the sun to light the sky.  God saw his creation and said it was good, this was the end of the first age.
Then god looked upon the sun and he gathered the dusts near it.  In fire and great power god made the earth and placed it circling the sun that there might be light and dark upon the earth.  The light he called day and the dark he called night.  This was the end of the third age.
Then god said "Let the waters come and cool the earth that it would bring forth land and waters."  And the waters came and through the age cooled the earth and formed the land and seas.  This was the end of the third age.
When the earth had cooled, god said "Let there be life" and he brought forth mighty lightening from the heavens to strike the waters and with great power came forth life.  To the life god said to go forth and multiply and from this life god grew all life.  From the life in the sea came the fishes and foods in the seas.  As the life grew in the sea, god commanded it to come upon the shores and it did, forming the grass and trees of his vast world.  God looked upon this wonder and it was good and thus ended the fourth age.
Then god told the fishes of the sea "come upon the land and fill it as you have the sea."  The fishes obeyed and came upon the land and god gave them legs upon which to walk and lungs for to breathe.  God then commanded them to fill the world with wondrous variety.  And in his wisdom and power god made from this life all the animals of the world great and small.  This was the end of the fifth age.
Then god looked upon his creation and commanded the creatures of the land to grow again, this time into that which he had made all for.  In his great love, god formed new life from old and through the age did he mold it into a man and woman.  When man was made as god commanded, he named the man Adam and the woman he named Eve and for them he made a garden into which he placed them.
God blessed them; and god said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth."  God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And thus closed the sixth age.
Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. By the seventh age god completed his work which he had done, and he rested the seventh age from all his work which he had done.   Then god blessed the seventh age and sanctified it, because in it he rested from all His work which god had created and made.
This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the god made earth and heaven.

DISCLAIMER!!!   I am NOT trying to rewrite God's Word!!  I am simply pointing out that if I can describe evolution in simple enough terms, God would have no problem doing so and therefore would have written Genesis to reflect an evolutionary process.  However, He didn't.  Being incapable of telling a falsehood, therefore, all we can surmise is that what He wrote is what He did.
